The Flying Ford Anglia Of Harry Potter!!


It is no doubt that Harry Potter is the most famous and most published book of all time behind very few. The book that has been translated in numerous languages has captured a large audience from all over the world. Be it kids, teens, adults, parent, elderly or whosoever, the Harry Potter phenomenon had taken the world by storm and is still going strong. The enormous fan following of J.K. Rowling’s master piece not only makes the audience love the story, the characters, the twist and turns and every single entity in it.


Thus it came as no surprise the boost in the famous Ford Anglia with its introduction in the second part of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The vehicle that became a sensation when it was given magical enhancements to become a flying car and which Harry Potter and Ron Weasley flew to Hogwarts witnessed a spike in the vehicle’s sales due to the enormous fan following and their dedication to the Harry Potter fandom. Ford Anglia which was introduced in 1959 at the London Motor Show built by the Ford of England. It was created in response to the energy crisis and its exterior was given am impressive American look. The model used in Harry Potter was a light blue and white Ford Anglia that not only flew Harry to numerous locations but resulted in saving his life more than a few times, most memorable being in the Forbidden Forest. In production of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, 14 cars were destroyed while shooting the scene of the Whomping Willow. However the one that survived the production is now at display at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, England.
